Director of Risk and Asset Management

Peter joined Airclaims from Willis where he was Director of Willis Aerospace Services, the risk management and industry consulting arm of Global Aviation. He has an MBA from his time at British Airways plus a second Masters degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University. He is a multi-licenced aircraft engineer and has been a qualified pilot for 15 years. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI).

Manager-Projects, Risk and Asset Management

Vince has broad experience, gained over 35 years in aviation, in all aspects of the aviation maintenance industry, with particular knowledge of contractual negotiations, aircraft acquisitions and aircraft leasing.  Prior to joining Airclaims in 2004, Vince was Technical Consultant at VMC Consultancy, where he project-managed lease deliveries and returns and was the company’s main representative for airlines and leasing companies during “C” checks and aircraft lease hand backs. Early in his career Vince was a Post Holder for Maintenance at UK airlines GB Airways and AB Airlines. Vince is an incorporated engineer.

Operations Director

Nick joined Airclaims with over 17 years’ aircraft engineering experience garnered at British Airways (BA), where he was Station Duty Engineering Manager and responsible for the handling of British Airways and Customer Airlines aircraft. At BA, Nick was also responsible for Airbus Systems Familiarisation Training and carried out Europe-wide airport facilities audits and incident investigations. His experience covers all areas of aircraft maintenance and systems troubleshooting. Nick achieved his private pilot’s license in 1994 and has night flying and instrument conditions ratings. Nick has gained an MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessment in Aviation.

Contract Manager, Surveyor

Paul’s career in aviation maintenance spans over 24 years as a licensed engineer.  He joined Airclaims from BA Connect where he was Maintenance Control Manager. Paul started his career with the RAF gaining experience on a variety of front line combat aircraft. Upon leaving the service his civil aviation experience began in general aviation. Gaining group qualifications on single and multi engine light commercial and executive aircraft, he later moved on to supervise line and base maintenance for Manx and British Regional Airlines. Paul is registered with the UK Engineering Council and an Associate Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society he is also a member of the Association of Licensed Aircraft Engineers.

Surveyor

Andy has two decades experience in the aviation maintenance industry. He joined Airclaims in 2006 from British Airways where he was latterly responsible for the airworthiness and compliance of Boeing 747 and 777 fleets. In this role Andy had to ensure the adequate provision of spares and ground equipment and manage the timely completion of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Whilst at BA, Andy was seconded to the Engineering Training School where he presented courses in aeronautical engineering, airframe theory and aircraft systems.

Technical Services Engineer

John joined Airclaims in January 2008, from TNT Airways, where he supervised various technical records, planning and engineering activities. He has over 28 years of aircraft maintenance and engineering experience including both line and base maintenance. John leads the technical records and planning services provided by the team.

Surveyor

Steven joined Airclaims in February 2008 from Thomsonfly where he undertook a wide range of different roles. At Thomsonfly he was an Airworthiness Surveyor, having previously supervised aircraft deliveries and lease transitions including holding Power of Attorney for aircraft acceptance. Steven is a multi-licensed aircraft engineer with type ratings on aircraft such as the Boeing 737NG series.

Surveyor

Travis joined Airclaims in April 2008 from FlyerTech where he was a senior Project Engineer, involved in asset health monitoring inspections and assessments worldwide. Travis is a multi-licensed aircraft engineer with over 30 years of aircraft maintenance experience. His previous roles include Fleet Shift Manager at British Airways and Gatwick Station Engineer for CityFlyer.

Powerplant Manager

Ian has a wealth of Technical Services and Powerplant Management experience with strong exposure to areas such as aircraft acceptance and returns, maintenance planning, engine workscopes, power by the hour contracts and project management. He was previously a Powerplant Engineer with British Airways, a Powerplant Manager with British Mediterranean and also a CAA post holder position for an executive jet operation in the UK. He has completed training courses on a wide range of engine types, including the IAE V2500, and has a Higher National Diploma in Aerospace.

Surveyor

Simon joins Airclaims from Aeropeople where he was Deputy Line Maintenance Manager. Simon started his career as an apprentice with Marshall Aerospace at Cambridge, before qualifying as an aircraft engineer and supervising both line and heavy maintenance. He then moved on to FedEx Express, managing a team of line maintenance engineers. Simon is type rated on a broad range of Boeing and Airbus aircraft types, holds both European and American engineer licences and has a BEng (Hons) in Aircraft Engineering
