
Paul Clark
Principal Surveyor, Director
Paul is a qualified aircraft engineer having gained experience working for large airlines. Experience includes specialisation in both structures and engines on a variety of large aircraft types in heavy maintenance and line maintenance areas. He has gained much experience since joining Airclaims in dealing with all aspects of claims management.
David Bickerton
Deputy Principal Surveyor, Director
David is an experienced Aircraft Engineer, having served a full apprenticeship with British Airways, working on heavy jets, engines and avionic systems. This was followed by working 11 years in the Middle East for a developing Airline, where he held a number of management positions within technical maintenance departments. He has worked with Airclaims for 14 years.
Peter Cooper
Senior Surveyor

Peter first gained experience working on military aircraft in the UK and overseas. In his 35 years service with Airclaims, he has been heavily involved in handling all types of claims but those especially associated with military risks, helicopter operations and general aviation. He has been seconded to New Zealand where he was instrumental in the establishment of Airclaims’ New Zealand operation.
John Bayley
Senior Surveyor

John is an experienced aircraft engineer and qualified private pilot having worked in senior positions in airlines and with Snecma, the engine manufacturer in France, followed by a period of product support on their behalf with several of their airline customers. He has worked on secondment for an airline in Australia. Fluent English and French spoken.
Chris Shepherd
Senior Surveyor
Chris is an experienced aircraft engineer and graduate in both air transport engineering and management studies. Earlier in his career he was awarded the Royal Aeronautical Society Prize and has since worked in Australia as an aircraft maintenance engineer and with Airclaims in North America as a surveyor. Chris is a qualified private pilot.
David Hitchen
Senior Surveyor
David is a qualified and experienced aircraft engineer and private pilot. He has gained experience in airline maintenance and operations working on a number of different types of large civil aircraft. Experience includes roles of senior engineering development engineer and senior engineering manager.
Philip Galbraith
Surveyor
Philip is a qualified Aircraft Engineer, having worked on a large variety of large civil aircraft both as an engineer and as a station maintenance manager at British Airways.
Stephen Hill
Surveyor
Stephen is a qualified and experienced aircraft engineer. He has gained experience working for airlines and heavy aircraft maintenance companies both in the UK and the Far East. His experience includes roles of both senior engineer and manager.
Nigel Soane
Surveyor
Nigel worked for the Royal Aircraft Establishment/Defence Research Agency and then with the Defence Evaluation Research Agency. He has experience on a large variety of aircraft types including military jets, helicopters, military transport and commercial aircraft.
Hugh Thacker
Surveyor
Hugh is a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer and has worked on a large variety of large civil aircraft involving experience both as an engineer and a manager within line maintenance. Experience also includes time spent in providing engineer training.
Cameron Hogg
Surveyor
Cameron is a licensed aircraft engineer with over 20 years of aviation experience. He has worked on a large variety of large civil aircraft both as an engineer and a Station Maintenance Manager. Cameron joined Airclaims in May 2008.
Jonathan Salmon
Surveyor
Jonathan joined Airclaims in May 2008 having previously worked for TAG Farnborough Engineering and Mann Aviation Engineering. He has experience of a large variety of aircraft types in particular General Aviation and Executive jets.
Darcy Beamer-Downie
General Counsel
Darcy Beamer-Downie joined Airclaims, after 6 years with Beaumont / Clyde & Co. During this time she was involved in litigation on behalf of a wide range of clients including airlines, MROs and insurers. Darcy, who will head up the Airclaims Legal Services team, has also lectured extensively on the topic of space tourism and has advised various space interests. She is a Barrister and has a Masters in Air and Space Law from McGill University.
Amanda Johnson
Senior Aviation Lawyer (Solicitor)
Prior to joining Airclaims in 2001 Amanda worked in private practice and for the Corporation of Lloyd's. Amanda qualified as a solicitor in 1998. At Airclaims Amanda is involved in a wide range of claims activities including hull, cargo, third party, passenger liability, space and subrogation.
Wissam Lahmar
Aviation Lawyer
Wissam joined Airclaims Paris in April 2007 and transferred to our London office later in the year. At Airclaims Wissam is involved in claims legal activities including hull, cargo, third party and subrogation. Wissam has a Masters degree in Air Transport Management and Law and is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
