Commenced apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in 1980, later became licensed and progressed into management roles in aircraft maintenance facilities.  Geoff has experience in scheduled maintenance and structural rebuilds and modifications of a wide range of aircraft types from single engine and small helicopters to business jets and commuter aircraft.  Since joining Airclaims in 1998 Geoff has progressed to become Manager of the Australian office and has managed claims on a side range of aircraft types from light aircraft and helicopters to Boeing 747’s.

Surveyor

Hans has over 40 years of aviation experience in Australia and worldwide. He has owned and operated aircraft maintenance businesses for fixed wing and more recently helicopters, and has enormous experience in the General Aviation field.


Doug Robinson Doug Robinson
Surveyor - Airclaims Melbourne

Doug was an Apprentice with Australian Airlines (now Qantas) in Melbourne and Sydney and worked in heavy and line maintenance.  After gaining his pilot’s licence, he joined a number of general aviation companies, carrying out field repairs and maintenance on a wide range of Aircraft types. Doug heads the Victorian office and is rated on a number of single and light twin engine aircraft and holds numerous airframe and engine licences..

Legal Adviser and Surveyor

Tony Pyne joined Airclaims in 2009 as a legal adviser and aviation surveyor for the Sydney office.  Tony supports Airclaims’ Asia Pacific region with a range of aviation claim activities, preparation of commercial documentation, mediation and claims settlement, advice on regulatory and compliance issues, and legal advice and litigation services. He has unparalleled experience in insurance, aviation, commercial, regulatory law, litigation and dispute resolution. Tony is conversant with aviation law in a number of overseas jurisdictions and prior to joining Airclaims, served as a member of the CASA Board, and still lectures and conducts training on aviation law matters. He is also an aviation enthusiast and owns a Piper Twin Comanche and is an IFR rated pilot.
