Jaco van der Merwe joined Airclaims in 2011 as Country Manager for South Africa and works out of our Johannesburg office. Jaco joined Airclaims from Atlas Air Worldwide, based in Dubai, where he was responsible for the maintenance program on their fleet of aircraft that are leased to Emirates Airlines. He has also been involved in the opening of new Atlas stations throhoout Africa. He has also previously worked as a licensed aircraft engineer for Carglolux and Gamco, both located in Abu Dhabi, and for Classic Jets in Cape Town, South Africa. Jaco also has flying experience gained as a pilot for DHL in Africa where he flew King Air 200 and 350 aircraft.
